Sue & Mike
On the 7th of January 2024, I had the privilege of officiating my first ceremony of the year at the Botanic Garden in The Gardens 0820. It was a delightful experience overseeing the elopement of Sue and Mike. Opting for an 8 AM ceremony turned out to be an excellent choice, given the beautiful weather that graced the occasion. With the impending wet season, we were cautiously hopeful about the rain, but fortunately, we were blessed with clear skies. This not only provided a picturesque backdrop for photos but also ensured a seamless ceremony.
Allow me to share a bit about the couple – both Sue and Mike hail from Vietnam, originating from different cities, one from the south and the other from the north. Fate brought them together in Darwin, and their journey, starting as international students, has seen its share of ups and downs. Now, as permanent residents in Australia, they decided to take the plunge and tie the knot. Despite the intimate gathering of just under 10 guests for their elopement, the couple has grand plans for a lavish wedding in Vietnam with their extended family and loved ones in May.
To Sue and Mike, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting me with this significant moment in your lives. It has been a true privilege to witness your happiness, and I eagerly anticipate seeing more photos from your upcoming wedding in Vietnam. As your celebrant, I feel fortunate to be part of your journey.
