Terms and Conditions – Together with Jo
1. Booking & Payment Terms
Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer and cash.
A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable.
The remaining balance must be paid within the week of your wedding day.
For celebrant services, your documents will not be lodged until full payment has been received.
5% GST is included in the total price, and an additional 5% GST will be applied to the final invoice amount.
2. Cancellations & Refund Policy
The deposit is non-refundable.
You are allowed to reschedule your wedding date twice without losing your deposit.
If you reschedule for the third time, your deposit will be forfeited.
To reschedule, you must notify Together with Jo at least one month in advance.
If you notify Together with Jo less than 10 days before your wedding date, 50% of your deposit will be deducted to reschedule.
If the celebrant/MC cancels (e.g., due to illness), a replacement will be provided or a refund issued.
3. Rescheduling
Clients must request date changes in writing.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
If the new date is unavailable, cancellation policies will apply.
4. Scope of Services
Services include: script writing, officiating, handling formalities, engaging guests, preparing and lodging documents.
Maximum service durations:
Celebrant: 1 - 1.5 hours
Wedding MC: 5 hours
Tea Ceremony: 3.5 hours
Additional fees apply for:
Extended service hours
Travel beyond included areas
Rehearsals and site checks
Reception MC bookings exceeding 5 hours (overtime charges apply per additional hour)
5. Media and Marketing Consent
Together with Jo is permitted to take photos and videos during your wedding and share them on social media and the website for marketing purposes.
If you do not consent, you must inform Together with Jo before your wedding day.
6. Accuracy of Information
You confirm that all details provided in the booking form are accurate and true.
If you realize any incorrect information, you must inform Together with Jo as soon as possible.
The details provided in the booking form will be used for lodging your marriage certificate in the government system.
If your marriage certificate contains incorrect information due to errors in your booking form, you are responsible for covering any correction fees.
7. Client Responsibilities
Providing accurate details (e.g., names, wedding date, venue).
Ensuring required permits or permissions for ceremonies.
Providing accurate event details, including venue location, start time, and any specific requirements.
If the event is outdoors, the client must have a suitable backup plan in case of bad weather.
The client must ensure that all legal and logistical requirements for the wedding ceremony are met before the event.
Informing of any special requests in advance.
8. Legal Obligations (for Celebrants)
The celebrant is responsible for ensuring all legal paperwork is completed, including the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) in Australia.
Clients must provide required documents on time.
The celebrant cannot legally marry a couple if legal requirements are not met.
9. Travel & Accommodation
Travel is included only if your venue is in Bankstown or Cabramatta.
For venues outside these areas, a travel fee applies.
For weddings outside Sydney (interstate or regional):
Travel fees, including flights and accommodation, must be covered by the client.
You have the option to book travel and accommodation directly or reimburse Together with Jo for the arrangements.
10. Conduct & Professionalism
The celebrant/MC will act professionally at all times.
Clients and guests must treat the celebrant/MC with respect.
No harassment, abuse, or intoxicated behavior will be tolerated.
11. Force Majeure
Together with Jo is not liable for cancellations due to natural disasters, pandemics, or unforeseen circumstances.
Alternative arrangements will be discussed where possible.
12. Equipment Provision
Together with Jo can provide a speaker and microphone for up to 60 guests.
If your guest count exceeds 60, you must inform and discuss additional requirements with Together with Jo before the event.
If no discussion occurs, Together with Jo will attend without a speaker and microphone, assuming that the client or venue will provide the necessary equipment.
13. Collaboration with Other Vendors
Together with Jo can provide a list of recommended vendors, but is not responsible for their pricing or quality of work.
Together with Jo is only responsible for the Collab Package offered by Together with Jo.
For Collab Packages, Together with Jo will:
Ensure vendors show up and fulfill their required services.
Be in charge of connecting and coordinating all related vendors.
Oversee the execution of services according to the agreed scope.
14. Agreement By making a booking with Together with Jo, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
