From Instagram to Everlasting Love
Their love story began when Kelli decided to send Chris a message on Instagram, hoping for a reply. Not only did Chris reply, but he also wanted to meet up with Kelli. Their first date was filled with sparks, and despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship, they made it work. They flew in and out to see each other and eventually decided to make Darwin, NT, their home together.
A Celebration of Love and Diversity
The ceremony was made even more special with the assistance of the amazing drag queen, Ashley, who brought an extra touch of flair and fun to the event. The celebration was filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments, creating an atmosphere that truly honored Chris and Kelli's journey.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the day was the recognition and acceptance of their love by Australian society. In Australia, we proudly recognize and celebrate the marriages of people within the LGBTIQ+ community. It fills my heart with joy to be a part of so many LGBT couples' love stories and to see them celebrated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Within a week, Chris and Kelli's marriage was registered, and they received their marriage certificate, marking the official start of their married life together. Their story is a testament to the power of love, commitment, and the beauty of finding your soulmate in the most unexpected places.
